openKylin Bridges Borders: Tech Talk with International Student
On August 1st, the openKylin community held an informative online meeting with Mikhail, a student from a top public research university in the United States. Prior to the meeting, Mikhail had already experienced the openKylin open-source operating system and sent an email to the community, expressing his desire to further understand the community's open-source technology and participate in collaborative creation, demonstrating a strong interest in openKylin.
During the meeting, Mikhail commended openKylin's rapid progress over the past two years. Both parties discussed technical aspects of the Kaiming package, including application installation, operation, local package management, as well as permission management and user data protection measures. The openKylin community also introduced Mikhail to the community's development history and various ways to contribute, such as becoming a promotional ambassador, submitting code contributions, and joining Special Interest Groups. Mikhail stated that he would continue to follow openKylin and hoped to contribute to the community's development.
Moving forward, openKylin will expand international partnerships, host global events, and support multiple languages. This aims to attract more international developers, fostering global collaboration and advancing open-source technology worldwide.
