openKylin Shines at the 2024 RISC-V Summit, Showcasing Exciting New Ecosystem Achievements!
From August 21 to 23, the 2024 RISC-V China Summit took place in Hangzhou, bringing together top minds from the RISC-V International Foundation, industry experts, corporate representatives, and community partners to discuss the latest in RISC-V technology and its future direction.
The RISC-V Summit, held annually by the RISC-V International Foundation across North America, Europe, and China, is the leading event in the global RISC-V community. This year's China Summit, the fourth of its kind, featured a comprehensive agenda, including keynote speeches, technical workshops, exhibitions, and more. Han Naiping, a member of the openKylin Community Advisory Board, was invited to attend the main forum on August 21.
On August 22 and 23, Dr. Wang Wenzhu, a member of the openKylin Technical Committee, gave two keynote presentations. He spoke on openKylin’s Applications and Innovations on the Computing Power Platform and The Latest Developments and Innovations of openKylin on RISC-V, offering insights into how openKylin is driving forward with RISC-V technology.
At the exhibition, openKylin presented its latest platform adaptations, including the Ruyi BOOK laptop, SpacemiT K1, and Sophgo Milk-V Pioneer Box.
The RISC-V version of the openKylin open-source operating system successfully ported streaming software and Xbox controller drivers onto the SpacemiT MUSE Book. By utilizing hardware decoding and WiFi6, it effectively reduced latency, providing a smooth experience with the AAA game Black Myth: Wukong. This achievement attracted many attendees to try it out, offering an immersive and interactive open-source experience.
During the event, Calista Redmond, CEO of the RISC-V International Foundation, visited the openKylin booth to engage in discussions and share her insights.
