On July 5, 2023, openKylin version 1.0 was officially released! This version is equipped with a dual kernel of 6.1+5.15 by default, completing the independent selection and upgrading of 20+operating system core components, and adding many new features, fixing over a thousand bugs, further improving the overall stability and compatibility of the system, and bringing a better experience to users!
On July 5th, the 2023 Operating System Industry Conference Open Source Construction and Talent Ecological Development Forum was held in Beijing. At this sub forum, openKylin held a licensing ceremony for universities that have joined the community and participated in co construction. Yu Jie, Secretary General of openKylin community , served as the host of the licensing ceremony and introduced the relevant situation of the OpenKylin University Station to everyone.
The openKylin community InputMethod SIG and fcitx community have worked closely together and achieved the support of fcitx5 dev version for virtual keyboard for the first time at the end of 2022, and successfully developed openKylin virtual keyboard version 1.0 which supports fcitx5 virtual keyboard interface.
Zhu Chen, Community Chairman, was invited to attend the Summit Infrastructure and Software architecture Forum, and shared the theme of "Technical Innovation and Practice of OpenKylin Open Source Operating System".
