The openKylin community has revamped and upgraded the UKUI website ( https://www.ukui.org/index.php?lang=en ), which has recently gone live. UKUI is based on QT and supports Debian, Ubuntu, ArchLinux, openEuler and ten other Linux distributions.
The openKylin community is divided into different SIG groups according to the domain. In March, the number of effective PRs in the community increased by 1077, the number of repository Forks increased by 639, the number of SIG groups increased by 1, the SIG open regular meetings were held 10 times, and a total of 60 SIG groups are running.
The RISC-V Multimedia SIG was founded by StarFive, a member of the openKylin community, and is responsible for the integration and application development of open source multimedia frameworks (FFMPG/Gstreamer/OpenMax) for the RISC-V architecture platform on desktop operating systems in the openKylin community.
On April 1, 2023, "Deep Learning Technology Trends and Industrial Application Practices", a special lecture of the "Into the University" series (No. 7, Session 1), organized by Information Technology Application Innovation Working Committee and NUDT(National University of Defense Technology), co-organized by openKylin community and School of Computer Science, NUDT26th "Galaxy Light" Computer Culture Festival Organizing Committee, was successfully held.
During the pre-collaboration period, a number of meetings were held in Zhuhai and Changsha to discuss the strategic cooperation plan between openKylin and ROMA. openKylin community RISC-V SIG members solved system start-up problems, system display problems, video playback smoothness and other issues.
In the afternoon of March 30, the third edition of the Unit Member Salon hosted by the openKylin community was successfully held in Changsha. Nearly 30 representatives from more than 20 member units gathered together to exchange and discuss topics such as how open source projects can empower more fields and how community partners can build a prosperous ecology together.
On February 25, the first Advisory Board meeting of the openKylin community was successfully held in Beijing, with more than ten community advisory board members and experts attending. The meeting was attended by more than ten community advisory board members and experts, who exchanged and discussed about the development and planning of the openKylin community and provided many valuable suggestions for the community development and construction.
